Ghajini

Ghajini

Yes, the recent bump at the box-office is Ghajini directed by A.R. Murugadoss. This remake of Tamil Ghajini is something I found as a touchy movie. Even though the movie smashes your head with loud actions and violence but the touchy parts are just down to earth. The pure love story shown between Kalpana and Sanjay is just simple yet deep. The part that went touchy was when Sanjay was planning to come back from London and had everything in his mind that he wanted to tell Kalpana but his girlfriend dies without knowing the fact that she was in love with a millionaire. Who caught her heart being the common man, helping her at every end. The songs, again…Prasoon Joshi and A.R. Rahman, blessing for bollywood songs, especially the song, Kaise Mujhe tum Mil Gayi … I love this song. Rest all the songs are good enough. Not to forget, Hai Guzarish, a song with beautiful cinematography and locations.
The funny part in the movie was when Sanjay, after killing all the gundas went blank of the reason cause of which he was beating them after 15 minutes (short term memory loss, quite a funny yet sympathizing disease). Anyway, apart from lolz, Aamir is –“Best Actor and Director”. A must see movie.

P.S-
http://www.oktatabyebye.com/gajodhar/index.html a must see video after you see the movie, humorous one.

Expose d Expos

Hmm...My day out with Vandana Rana, aka Vandy, our new work group member. We went to no special place. There was a Photo Fair at Pragati Maidan, so being Media students; we went there to find some good stuff for our experience. We left our homes to meet at the Pragati Maidan Metro station, “Our real life station”.
Our eyes rolled towards the big banners of Photo Fair. Along with that we could see banners for Auto Mall, LED (Light Emitting Device) Expo and Digital Signage Expo. We registered for entry and soon we were in the ‘Hut’ where passes were to be collected for further entry. We struggled to get our passes and went inside the Hall no.12. The stalls were huge and awesomely designed. The hall was lit up because of the flash lights and number of lights types. The boundary stalls comprised of various effects software, album books, photo frames, lighting and photography equipments like tri-pods, diffusers, soft boxes, cranes, etc, various machinery for making T-shirts, mugs, glasses of your pictures, etc. while, the middle stalls had all brands for cameras like Olympus, Kodak, Sony, Nikon and what not. From smile shutter cameras (just smile and the shutter will catch your smile) to water proof cameras (cameras set under a small showcase kinds waterfall, almost unbelievable). There were photography magazines too with their stalls for monthly n yearly subscriptions with one or the other schemes. In all, the fair was entirely for trade (with marketing gimmicks like models dancing in one-third clothes, Yamaha bikes R1 & R15 to win, etc.). Therefore, we little journo were finding the way to exit. The fair is off course for sale so we obviously could not effort what our hearts desired to buy. But we enjoyed few great clicks by great photographers. Also, the Mumbai Blasts calendar. This was something that stopped our eyes from finding the way to exit. These pictures were so meaningful that we felt happy to get something at least for experience. After this we moved out and headed towards Auto Mall, registered and entered the baby Auto Expo, i.e. Auto Mall. To our surprise was nothing new, all those cars and SUVs we could find on the roads, except for the fact that we had them scratch less to click in good lightning. The car’s brands included Skoda, BMW, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Ford, etc. apart from these new was some mini racing car and Hyundai, i20. Within half hour we were out of Auto Mall and hungry. We headed towards canteen and decided to explore the rest two expos soon after that. After the lunch, we went inside another small hall of LED expo. Again for the purpose of sale, students not allowed, but we are clever enough to know how to make the entry, we got in and came out within 15 minutes since again there was nothing for us to see, but see huge screens throwing harsh light in our eyes. Then we headed to Digital Signage Expo. This again was not for us and all about signages through various LCDs. The amazing and new thing to highlight was the I-Floor, the floor on which we can view the video part that gets played as we move over it. This was just like our eye-food. I made a video of that floor too. Then our tour of Pragati Maidan ended there and we decided to move to Nescafe at ITO. After having magi, brownie and a frappe and clicking few pictures of the new friends we said a bye-bye to each other. So it became anyway a nice outing for both of us. Afterall, velapanti bhi jaruri hai.
